Public Education & Outreach Award

The NHDES & NHWPCA Joint Public Education & Outreach Program Award recognizes wastewater operators and community leaders for significant accomplishments in promoting public awareness and the understanding of water environment issues, such as the importance of wastewater treatment plants and their role in protecting public health and the environment, through the development and implementation of outreach, education and/or communication programs that others can follow and build upon. Deadline is June 30, 2026.

The recipient is presented with this prestigious award at the Winter Meeting held each December.
