  • We are always looking for new people to bring fresh insight to our organization. The About us page lists all the committees of the NHWPCA. We are always looking for new members to bring a fresh ideas to our cause.

When and how often does the NHWPCA Board of Directors meet?

  • The Board of Directors meet monthly, usually at the Concord WTF on Hall St in Concord. If you would like to get an item on the agenda or attend as an observer, you need to submit a request to the President, Ed Rushbrook. His email is erushbrook@underwoodeng.com.

How do I become an NHWPCA sponsor of events, the Collector or the web site?

  • We would love to have your financial support to assist us in contributing to our cause. The Spring Meeting, Summer Outing, Golf Tournament, Fall Meeting and Winter Meeting are our annual events that we seek sponsorship for. Contact the Administrative Assistant for more information.

How do I become a Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator in the State of New Hampshire?

  • You DO NOT have to be certified as a Wastewater Treatment Operator in order to work at a Wastewater plant. Many facilities have positions like laborers, truck drivers and other entry level positions that would help you to get the work experience many facilities require.
  • The NHDES Wastewater Training and Operator Certification Unit administers various training classes as well as all exam levels. They, with assistance from the Education Committee, establish training courses each semester to assist operators and operator wanna-bes with the necessary required training hours to be licensed in the State of New Hampshire. How do I get licensed for the Collection System Operator in the State of New Hampshire?

  • Collection System Certification training and testing is offered in May and is administered by the New England Water Environment Association (www.newea.org). Information can be found on their web site.
    The direct link to the Collection System Voluntary Certification page is www.newea.org/volcert.htm. The training classes and examinations are normally held at the NHDES Training Facility located at the Franklin WTF in Franklin, NH.

  • Our Education Committee is in charge of researching training opportunities for NHWPCA members. It works in conjunction with the NHDES Wastewater Operations Section to offer varying course selection each spring and fall.
